Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: [DATE_PLACEHOLDER]

Delivering bulk material by lorry depends heavily on what your site can physically take. This policy explains how we schedule deliveries and what we need from you.

1. Where we deliver

We deliver within [DELIVERY_AREA]. Deliveries beyond that radius may be possible at an additional transport charge, quoted case by case.

2. Scheduling and delivery windows

We agree an indicative delivery window when your order is confirmed and contact you before dispatch. Windows are estimates: loading queues at the mine or plant, weighbridge time and traffic all affect them.

Many cities restrict heavy-vehicle movement during daytime hours. Where that applies to your site, deliveries may be scheduled to the permitted window, which can mean early morning or night delivery.

3. Site access requirements

Before delivery, please confirm that a loaded tipper can reach and leave your unloading point. We need:

  • An approach road that takes a loaded multi-axle lorry, with adequate width and turning space.
  • Clearance from overhead electrical cables, tree branches and low structures — tipper bodies rise several metres when unloading.
  • Firm ground at the unloading point. Loaded lorries sink into soft fill and freshly watered ground.
  • Any society, panchayat, municipal or gated-community permission needed for a lorry to enter.

If you are unsure whether your site can take a full load, tell us before you order. We can often split the quantity across smaller vehicles, which is far cheaper than a failed delivery.

4. Unloading

Tipper deliveries are discharged at a single accessible point chosen by you. Unless your quotation expressly includes it, we do not provide labour for manual unloading, stacking, shifting or spreading.

Bricks, blocks and cement bags are typically hand-unloaded. Please arrange labour to be present at the agreed window.

5. Waiting time and demurrage

Each delivery includes [FREE_WAITING_MINUTES] minutes of free waiting time at your site. Beyond that, waiting is charged at [DEMURRAGE_RATE] per hour or part thereof, because the vehicle and driver cannot take their next trip.

6. Partial deliveries and multiple trips

Large orders are delivered across multiple trips. Each trip carries its own weighbridge slip or measurement, and the invoice reflects the total delivered. Trips may fall on different days depending on vehicle and material availability.

7. Delays outside our control

Delivery may be delayed by monsoon and flooded approach roads, suspension of mining or quarrying permits, sand mining restrictions, transport strikes, vehicle breakdown, traffic bans and road closures. We will keep you informed and reschedule at the earliest opportunity; these delays do not by themselves entitle you to compensation.

8. Failed delivery attempts

If a lorry reaches your site and cannot unload because access, permission, ground conditions or labour are not as described, the trip is treated as a failed delivery. Transport for that trip is chargeable at [FAILED_DELIVERY_CHARGE], and redelivery is scheduled as a fresh trip.

9. Inspection on receipt

Please have a responsible person present to check quantity, material type and visible condition before unloading is complete, and to keep the weighbridge slip and delivery challan. Claims are assessed against those documents — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
